FAQ

I'm disabled, how do I get up to the fortress?

There are a few parkingspaces for disabled available by the kiosk in the fortress park. A permit is needed. This permit will also grant you acces to drive the car all the way up to the entrance just outside the fortress. The car is then parked down by the kiosk at the assigned parking spaces.

We have an elevator available for those of you confined to a wheel chair. Contact the staff at the entrance when you arrive and they'll see to that you get transportation up to the elevator. When you want to get down again contact the staff in the large bar in the courtyard. They will make sure that the elevator staff is available.

One escort per disabled is free of charge.

If you have any questions or thoughts please contact us. We would love to hear from you to g be able to aid and better the accesability during the festival.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, as long as it's on a leash and used to crowds. You may not bring the dog into the casemate restaurant since this is a temporary storage for food articles.

NB! If we find that you do not tend to your dog properly we will contact the authorities. It is not allowed to leave your dog unattended for longer periods of time, and if you bring your dog to our festival we expect you to stay sober.

Why do you persist I pay 5 sek when I use the toilets?

You pay for a clean toilet. Lilla Våghals pays for the rental of the portapotties, delivery, emptying and toilet paper. You pay five sek because Gotvik cleans up before and after you've used the toilet. They also see to that they never overflow when the preassure is high. We really think that Gotvik deserves something for this. Would YOU do their job for 5sek?

Last but not least.. the debatable ticket prices..

Due to that we every year get angry comments about our ticket prices we hereby announce:

Visiting the festival is highly voluntary

If you don't think it's worth the money you can always visit the fortress when we're not having a festival. Admissions costs 70sek and your money all ends up in the pocket of Kungälv municipality. The medieval days  are funded by private means by four individuals that every year put large amounts of money and endless hours towards making this festival for you, the public. We do NOT get anything from the municipality, church or state but pay large amounts of money to rent the fortress amongst other things.

We would, AGAIN, like to point out that our admissions are not controlled by what type of rent we pay for the fortress. The rent is accurate in realtion to  supply and demand. YES our admissions have gone up since we started the festival 10 years ago, but so has all the rest of our expenses in accordance to societies developement and also due to the fact that the festival is so much larger now than it was 10 years ago.

As long as Lilla Våghals produces this festival we will work hard to offer a high quality event and that costs money. You can not pay for herring and expect beef tenderloin..
