By bus

Best way of getting to the fortress is by bus to Eriksdal. From the bus stop you only have a few hundred meters to the entrance. Green Express goes from Mölnlycke via Göteborg and takes approx 20 min from Göteborg city center.

Parking

There is a limited amount of parking spaces available close to the fortress. As a visitor/tourist you will not be able to park at Fästningsholmen during the festival. Visitors arriving by car are redirected to parking spaces in the center of Kungälv. Follow the green/yellow signs. Please note that the meeter maids will be around throughout the weekend.

Directions

 

From the south:
Drive north on E6 through Göteborg towards Oslo. Take the first exit towards Kungälv (Jordfallsmotet - Kungälv S). Go straight ahead. On your right by the gas station you'll find a large parking space, Eriksdal. On the other side of the bridge you'll find Bohus Fortress. If there's no parking spaces available continue passed the fortress and follow the green/yellow event signs.

From the north:
Drive south on E6 towards Göteborg. When you get to Kungälvsmotet continue towards Kungälv C. Take the first road on the right towards Vita Fläcken shopping center. Parking is available next to Kongahällagymnasiet (make a right in the first roundabout) or by the swimmingpool/ice rink Oasen (make a right in the second roundabout).

Leave the car at home

Note that the medieval days have many many visitors coming from all over to Kungälv. Wise from expreiance we would like to urge and encourage drivers to show respect, be patiant and to be forgiving. The roads will be crowded and there will most likely be long ques.

 

If you're able to, please leave the car at home.

Take our bus

We are working together with PK-Trafiken enabeling a festival buss going between ICA Maxi, Göteborgs Kex and the fortress. They are also adding extra cars during both day and night. The festival bus will offer great prices for our visitors.

Disabilities

There are a handfull of parkingspaces available for our disabled visitors holding a parking permit. More information can be found under FAQ.
