Since Kungahälla is a large public festival and we think that we have a large responsibility towards creating a better world. Therefor it is our intent to work towards bullying. We think that bullying starts with the fear to stand out and be different. We think that PREJUDICE is one of the largetst villains. This is one of the reasons we support Friends.
Those of us creating this festival likes people who are different and want to encourage children/youth to be themselves. Adults too! We sternly suggest that the main reasons for the success of our festival is because it is saturated with love and respect.
A medieval melting pot
Bohus Fortress and the festival create a meeting point where generations, cultures and stiles meet. It doesn't matter how old you are, what clothes you wear and what language you speak. This is where you come as you are, or whom you want to be. Together we descover and relive history and leanr from its misstakes. Bohus Fortress has for centuries been a place for great political battles, power struggles and war. Today thousands of people meet during one weekend at the same fortress under peaceful conditions.

For each paying visitor to the festival July 22-24 2011 we donate 1 sek to Friends.

The results of 2011
2011 was the year we began our cooperation with Friends to support their work toward eliminating prejudice and bullying.
Sadly the festival was hit by massive amounts of rain and the visitors didn't come in the amounts we needed compared to earlier years. We had 7001 visitors thus meaning that we donated 7001 sek to Friends from Lilla Våghals.
Those visitors that did come helped us collect another 4602 sek in the donating boxes, 3 volunteers and our much loved master of ceremonies gave their wages and our great pirates gave people a telling of for the total amount of 985 sek. We also had a very appreciated auction.

We wish to extend a big THANK YOU to all who participated, visited and donated their time and money towards the fight against bullying.
A new year is upon us and we are happy to continue our cooperation with Friends in 2012.
